Way better than the regular pumps and paper filters offered by Intex for above ground pools.

I've been using this sand filter for less than a month and have noticed the difference between sand filters and paper filters with smaller pumps. You will need to purchase 100 lbs of silica sand. Installation is not that complicated. Filtering cloudy water with this sand filter is the best way to go. I got tired and frustrated with the regular pump and paper filter. With this sand filter I can see the bottom of my swimming pool again and easily collect any leaves or debris. I recommend this product if you are trying to keep your swimming pool nice and clean. Don't forget that you still need to apply all the required chemicals to keep the water sanitized and clear.
